Bonnie S. Johnston
Bonnie Johnston holds degrees from both Miami University and University of Cincinnati and has spent decades researching history and genealogy. Her first historical novel The Dark Side of the Mountain describes the tragic life of her ancestor Anna Margaretha Mallow who survived the Fort Seybert massacre in 1758 where she and five of her children were taken captive or killed by the War Chief Killbuck. Her second novel Maggie follows the life of a strong frontier woman known for her bravery during an Indian raid in the Tygart Valley of West Virginia. A third story The Girl From Maryland traces a Revolutionary War family and their settlement on the frontiers of Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Ohio after statehood.
